Refund Policy

1. Scope
This Refund Policy applies to paid Shieldly Pro subscriptions (Monthly and Yearly plans) purchased through our payment processor Creem.io.
The free tier of Shieldly is, and always will be, free. There is nothing to refund there.
2. 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee
We want you to try Pro risk-free. If you are not satisfied with Shieldly Pro for any reason, you may request a full refund within 7 calendar days of your first purchase of a Pro subscription.
To request a refund, email [email protected] from the email address used for purchase (or include your order ID / license key). Upon approval:
- Your subscription will be cancelled immediately.
- Your license key will be revoked and Pro features will return to the free-tier limits.
- The original charge will be refunded to the same payment method. Settlement typically takes 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card network.
3. What Qualifies
The following purchases qualify for the 7-day guarantee:
- Your first-ever Monthly or Yearly Pro purchase.
- An accidental renewal of a Yearly plan, if requested within 7 days of the renewal charge (see §4).
3.1 Yearly Renewal Refunds (Extended Goodwill)
We know yearly renewals can sneak up on you. If your Yearly plan auto-renewed and you haven't actively used Pro features since the renewal date, you may request a refund within 14 days of the renewal charge. We'll grant these case-by-case based on usage signals.
4. What Does Not Qualify
The following are not eligible for refund:
- Requests made more than 7 days after the original purchase (for first purchases), or more than 14 days after a Yearly renewal.
- Subsequent renewals of the Monthly plan (just cancel before the next renewal to avoid further charges).
- Purchases where the license key has been shared, sold, or publicly posted.
- Purchases where Pro features were extensively used before the refund request in a way that indicates consumption rather than evaluation (e.g., bulk export of reports immediately before requesting refund).
- Chargebacks initiated without first contacting our support — we ask you to reach out first; we're responsive and reasonable.
5. How to Cancel (Without a Refund)
To cancel your subscription and stop future charges without requesting a refund of past charges:
- Open the subscription management link sent to you in your purchase receipt email (powered by Creem.io).
- Or email [email protected] and we'll cancel for you.
You'll retain Pro features until the end of the current billing period, then automatically return to the free tier.
6. Pricing, Taxes, and Currency
Refunds are issued in the same currency as the original charge. Currency conversion fees or FX losses levied by your bank are not refundable by us. In jurisdictions where local taxes (VAT/GST) are collected by our processor, those taxes are refunded along with the base price.
7. Consumer Rights
This policy does not limit any statutory consumer rights you may have under the laws of your country or region (e.g., EU Consumer Rights Directive, UK Consumer Rights Act, China Consumer Rights Protection Law, Australian Consumer Law). Where local law grants a longer cooling-off period, that longer period applies.
8. Fraud & Abuse
We reserve the right to refuse refund requests that show signs of fraud or abuse (e.g., repeat refund requests across multiple accounts, license-key sharing, chargeback fraud). We will always explain our reasoning if we decline a request.
